California Governor Jerry Brown signed SB 48 in 2011, a law requiring California’s public school districts to acknowledge the “contributions” of LGBT individuals to history. SB 48 gives school districts broad discretion to decide precisely how to introduce students to LGBT figures and when to do it. LGBT activist organizations are misleading school districts, trying to bully them into adopting the California Department of Education’s 2016 History Social Science Framework (Framework).
This is because the Framework goes far beyond merely acknowledging historical figures. Rather, the Framework aggressively strays into the sensitive areas of human sexuality and morality, promoting the redefinition of the family and the denigration of religious groups and individuals who are “intolerant” of LGBT progress.
Fortunately, the Framework is not legally mandated, but is merely a guide or model that local school boards may follow or reject. To defeat it, we need your help to notify parents and school boards about the dangers of the Framework.
We are urging all pastors and Christian leaders to notify parents and school board members within their spheres of influence that the HistorySocial Science Framework is religiously discriminatory, is not mandatory, and should be rejected. More information about the dangers of the Framework is available here.
